NBA News: Minnesota Timberwolves supposedly want d'Angelo Russell Trade
The Minnesota Timberwolves first reached the PostSeason this season, but there could be big changes in the house. According to Marc Stein, rival teams expect a trade from D'Angelo Russell.
The insider writes this in his newsletter at Substack. Accordingly, the future of the 26-year-old is "unsure" after he did not make a good impression on six games against the Memphis Grizzlies. Russell in the second playoff series of his career only came out of the field at 12 points on average at 33.3 percent.
Other teams now expect Minnesota to try to trade Russell, even though he is very good friends with franchise player Karl-Anthony Towns. Russell only came from the Golden State Warriors by trade in February 2020 for Andrew Wiggins and two future draft picks (Jonathan Kuminga and Miles McBride).
In the regular season, the Point Guard had its share in the best Wolves season in years. D-Lo came to 18 points and 7 assists on average over 65 games, but he could not confirm these appearances in the PostSeason.
