Bielefeld strengthens forest protection

Football Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld strengthens two forest protection projects as part of his sustainability game day against Hertha BSC (1-1) on Saturday.

Together with fans and partners as well as in coordination with the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the city, the club takes responsibility for a forest near the stadium. With the help of a fundraiser around the Bundesliga game, further trees will be planted there in the future.

In addition, the Arminia finances another ranger position through a nationwide unique cooperation with the state company Wald and Holz. This is intended to make a "sustainable contribution to education in the forest", as the club announced.

"With the support of the alliance of East Westphalia and in cooperation with our cooperation partners, we are investing in educational and educational work," said Managing Director Markus Rejek: "The Teutoburg Forest is considered an important part of regional identity." It is therefore "our common task to maintain it".
